Our vision

Nirvana Ministry is a non-profit charity dedicated to providing services to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all, using Buddhist principles. Our vision is a happier Australia, an Australia where everyone has the means to solve any problem, be it depression, anxiety, addictions, etc. To make this vision a reality, we follow the process step by step, or rather, session by session, offering interventions to everyone we can.

Why?

Everything in life has a reason, open to our understanding, as long as we are willing to ask. And just like everyone around us, Ministry of Nirvana has a purpose, and for us our why is Australia. Everyone deserves a second chance; everyone deserves a happier life and that is why it is so hard to face the statistics. For Ministry of Nirvana our why is that 1 in 5 Italians suffer from a mental illness, 1 in 20 Italians suffer from addiction and 1.5 million Australians suffer from anxiety and depression. Our why is the reason MON steps up to show those who feel like they have nothing left that we are here, we want to give all Australians the second chance they deserve, to show them a way to manage the stress of the past and overcome the stress of the present, to give all Australians a new perspective, a new lens to overcome the problems they face every single day.

What we offer

Everyone has something to give, whether it is compassion, kindness or a helping hand, but for us, MON’s gift to Australia is our programs. Our group discussions, retreats and individual sessions etc., cater to a very diverse Australian audience, including rehabilitation centers, mental health support groups, correctional centers and the Australian community at large. These sessions are free and open to all, regardless of race, culture or religious affiliation. We support people through life’s challenges using Buddhist philosophy to understand our modern life.

Questions can solve more problems than we might think, which is why our sessions encourage audiences to question themselves and their lives. Sometimes, life’s challenges can seem less daunting once we understand them better, and that’s exactly what we help our audiences do, by presenting a more scientific approach to life to understand, overcome, and then improve life for the better.
